Particles travelling at speed higher than light - Observation - 2011

The OPERA experiments observed that neutrinos are travelling at a speed higher than that of light in vacuum. The scientists were by humble to state the result in a very polite way and calling for further independent studies to confirm their observations.

The original paper and the first seminar video are in public domain for free access. It will be interesting to follow this scientific discovery process to understand how scientific research proceeds in such important issues.

Astronomers have discovered a new Earth-like planet that is larger than our own and may be more than half covered with water, according to a study published Wednesday in the science journal Nature.
